The AVP, Marketing, is responsible for driving MIM growth and differentiation by developing and executing a bold marketing vision and marketing strategy for the Public and Private Fixed Income businesses that positions the business as a highly relevant leader in the investment management space while delivering on business financial goals. This role creates a source of competitive advantage for MIM.
The AVP, Marketing, reports directly to the VP, Chief Marketing Officer of MIM.
Build and execute an effective and compelling multi-year marketing plan for MIM Public & Private Fixed Income businesses: Lead a multi-disciplined team in the visioning, creation, implementation, and measuring of a comprehensive strategy with the goal of delivering business financial objectives while contributing to a forward-looking, growth oriented, brand position and value proposition for the firm s key audiences and industry decision makers
Develop and deliver clear & measurable annual Marketing priorities: Work with the MIM CMO and business leaders to establish and gain alignment on marketing priorities to deliver on Public and Private Fixed Income annual goals; ensure clear metrics of marketing success and drive team to achieve them
Build and execute a persuasive message to launch the MIM Fixed Income Value Proposition: Spearhead new thinking around how to communicate a cohesive value proposition to prospective and existing public and private fixed income clients, including thought leadership
Deliver awareness goals: Provide high level leadership to the firm s awareness and engagement strategies, bringing best practice perspective to create broader awareness and deepen engagement through available marketing channels, placed media, earned media, and digital strategy
Drive outstanding client focus: Leverage client insights, understanding of marketplace, competitive dynamics, and other data to influence business growth strategies and inform marketing decision-making; develop a deep understanding of client needs to champion, drive, and measure client interest, engagement, experience and satisfaction
Drive best-in-class client engagement & experience: In partnership with the business, define, communicate, deliver, and measure competitive advantage in customer engagement & experience throughout the client journey
Drive client acquisition & influence conversion: Lead efforts to introduce and convert a new stable of clients through innovative marketing, thought leadership, advertising, digital and social media channels and high impact electronic media outreach
Partner deeply with Distribution and Client Service leadership: Partner to provide leadership, direction and resource stewardship to the distribution function to elevate our position in the industry and meet assigned targets for AUM growth, market share, and other key financial performance objectives across all client segments, asset and solutions classes, and geographies
Partner deeply with Leading Provider of Insurance and Other Financial Services central marketing resources: Partner with Global Brand & Marketing and US Marketing for additional capabilities and resources to better deliver on MIM business and marketing objectives
Drive global impact with targeted asset growth sectors: Oversee all global marketing efforts for MIM Public and Private Fixed Income, across the US and 16 regional and international offices

Key Stakeholders: MIM Public and Private Fixed Income leadership teams, MIM Real Estate Marketing, US Marketing Leadership Team, Global Distribution and Relationship Management, Client Service, Communications, regional and country CMOs
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Expertise and senior-level leadership experience in a highly respected global marketing organization
Keen understanding of the investment management business highly desirable
P&L leadership mindset and business acumen; demonstrated experience influencing P&L decisions

Deep marketing experience, including brand management, building & implementing marketing growth strategies, acquisition marketing, market research, digital marketing, customer centricity, and driving innovation
