Responsible for the overall development of technical and editorial content and message portrayed across Oracle's digital channels in execution of the company's digital strategy
Provides content development, technical orientation and user perspective to online products, services, communities by guiding and ensuring consistency throughout the site with respect to Oracle's image and qualtiy standards. Take a metrics-driven approach to optimize content strategy. Confers with project teams to develop and implement digital content and applications. *What this positiondoes for our team:*our senior content development specialist will writecopy, copyedit, and serve as internal librarian, along with consulting onbigger builds (such as white papers, calculators and ebooks) across UGBU teams.He/she will additionally assist in slicing and dicing bigger pieces intobite-sized interpretations, write regularly for the Oracle Utilities blog, and supportboth our social media expansion and our growing focus on digital content/demandgen.
*What you ll bring to the table: *
* A copyeditor s eye
* A knowledge of utilities industry tech(electric, gas, water), jargon, and common acronyms
* A clear, concise (but somehow also not boring)writing style
* Flexibility in writing voice to adapt/adopt toothers (and anticipate audience interpretation, too)
* Skill in interpreting tech concepts for a moregeneral audience
* Experience developing and project managing large(and long-term) content builds within the utilities industry
* An ability to leverage (and build upon) alreadyestablished interpersonal relationships with partners, customers and potentialcustomers across the utilities industry
*What s required ofyou:*
* B.A. (or higher degree) in English, journalismor writing
* 10 years experience as writer/editor
* 10 years experience inside the utilitiesindustry
* 10 years experience with projectmanagement/publishing
* Native English speaker (with an AmericanEnglish/idioms focus)
* Write well and speak well
* Self-motivated and deadline-driven
* Superior communication, interpersonal andpresentation skills
* Basics in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and socialplatforms
* Knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style (butability to adapt to other styles, too, including MLA and AP)
